     5> EAASY SABRE

The first major private-user online airlne travel system was the
Online OAG (Official Airline Guide), but it's been joined on many
systems by the vastly-easier-to-use EAASY SABRE system of American
Airlines. This version of "Sabre" is called "Easy" because it's a
simplified version for consumers of the same history-making Sabre
worldwide computer network that runs in every American Airlines office
and for thousands of travel agencies and corporate travel offices.
Best of all, EAASY SABRE is cheaper than OAG, because it carries no
"surcharges" or "premium charges" for access time.

Don't let the "eaasy" (the two "a's" are for "American Airlines", of
course) fool you: This is a sophisticated and full-featured system
that stores, for example, over 43 MILLION different airline fares and
updates them at a rate of over 1 Million changes daily! This price
information, as well as flight schedules, weather, hotel data, rental
car facts, and virtualy everything you need to plan a vacation and
make the actual reservations (including seat location and "no smoking"
seats) and ticket purchases online via credit card is as easy to reach
as your PC's keyboard. EAASY SABRE will even mail you your tickets,
and, if you're a member of American's "AAdvantage Club" frequent-flyer
mileage plan, give you an update on your current award totals once you
enter your own private password. Your completed itinerary can be
printed out for future reference, too.

Easy commands, quick path shortcuts, an informative monthly
newsletter, travel discount clubs and other enhancements are making
EAASY SABRE the finest online travel information and reservation
system around. It can be accessed via CompuServe, GEnie, and many
other online systems, or even connected to your corporate mainframe,
and, of course, it's available online in any American Airlines
"Admirals Club" lounge (See PC LIFE Vol. 3, No. 1 on "Airport PC's").
