The w3 line mode web browser is useful for saving web pages as text files on
your computer. You just telnet to w3, it loads the line mode web browser
automatically, go to the URL you want, and keep pressing page down until you
get to the end of the file; then later you use a text editor to copy the
text out of the telnets log file and save it as a text file. You cannot do
this with lynx because the telnets log file is not readable. However,
lynx usually allows you to save the web page as a file on your computer, or
to save it as a file on some other computer which may allow you to download
the file to your computer; you can save it as html and convert to text
later, or lynx will save it as text; this is usually better than using w3.
