  V3.7 IMPROVEMENTS:

  1. New Feature, "Lines Begin" Search:

This feature (option) allows you to search for patterns that start at line
beginnings. Example: Finding a file in a list of files when you know only the
first part of the filename.

  2. Enhancement:

The "Custom" menu was relocated to the main menu for quicker access.

---------------------------------------------------------
  V3.6 IMPROVEMENTS:

  1. New Feature, Browser:

Browser was added to allow you to move around with great ease. Also, you
can select a file/s to search or view while in "browser".

  2. New Feature, Locate a File/s:

This feature helps you find a file/s, including hidden files and/or files in
a hidden folder/directory.

  3. Windows Version:

Finder has made the crossover to Windows, but it did not lose it's old
looks and format. Long filenames are displayed in the "browser". Note:
Finder can still be used in Dos mode without Windows.

  4. Enhancements:

Using "ultrafast" or "extract" search modes will return to the "alternate"
menu, instead of the main menu, for ease of repeat use of those modes.

The size of files are now displayed via "browser".

  5. Bug Fixed for Rare Event:

If searching for a pattern in a file that has a few thousand consecutive
bytes of the same number as a carriage return (13 decimal), this had caused a
false "positive" (pattern found) and some bad side effects.
--------------------------------------------------------
  V3.5 IMPROVEMENTS:

  1. New Feature: UltraFast Search (option):

If the search is to locate a file/s that contains a specific pattern and it
is possible the search may go through hundreds or thousands of files, this new
feature will be very useful.

  Example:

On an old 75mhz PC in real Dos, using Finder's standard search mode, I
searched for a pattern/file and it took 14 minutes to find it after going
through 4,494 files. Using UltraFast to search for the very same pattern
(going though 4,494 files), it took 4 minutes and 45 seconds! NOTE: With new
faster computers, the time will be shorter. See "FINDER.DOC" for more details
about this new feature.

  2. "Search Another" (New V3.4 Feature) Bug Fixed:

This feature was not intended for "Extract" search mode, but unfortunately,
I overlooked a "flag" check. In the "Extract" search mode, if you select
"Search another" and the pattern you enter is not found, Finder will "lockup"
in an endless loop.

  3. Additional Enhancements:

   A. Now you can see your location at the title screen (after "Path").
   B. The wildcard notice is displayed in the "Search another" pop up window.
   C. Memory used by Finder is displayed at the title screen.

---------------------------------------------------------------
   V3.4 IMPROVEMENTS:

  1. New feature, "Search Another":

This new feature allows you to change the search pattern at anytime during
the search process, and resume searching for the new pattern from the position
where you made the change. This avoids the hassle of starting all over.
Often, you will think of something else to search for, once the original
pattern is found.

  2. New feature, File's Time and Date displayed:

This new feature displays the file's time and date when you view the files
in the current directory in order to select a file/s to Search or View.

---------------------------------------------------------------
   V3.3 New feature and Improvement:

A text mode viewer was added to the Select a File/s function. This may
be more convenient than using the separate Viewer function. NOTE: The
separate Viewer does allow you to view "marked" (tagged) files in sequence.

The backward range, while viewing or browsing (Search mode) a file/s has
been greatly increased. However, more memory is used in order to accomplish
this.
---------------------------------------------------------------
   V3.2 New features and Improvements:

"CUSTOMIZE MENU" (accessed via "Alternate Menu") allows the user to modify
the behavior of some Search functions and related actions. Note: More
customize features may be added in the future.

"LIMIT SEARCH" (via "Customize Menu") New feature:

Limit Search, such as limit how far into each file a Search is to proceed,
before stopping and moving on to the next file, if more than one file is
involved. The limit is based on how many "lines" the user specifies or
how many bytes/characters. Please read "Customize Menu" (Line 219) in
"FINDER.DOC" for more details about this new feature.

SEARCH HIDDEN DIRECTORIES AND DIRECTORIES WITH THE "SYSTEM" ATTRIBUTE:

Now a Search, when sub-directories are included, will include hidden
directories and directories with the "system" attribute set.

   SEARCH SPEED IMPROVED:

Although the improvement is not dramatic, I have modified a couple
procedures to increase the speed. The speed improvement is noticeable on very
large files.
