1)  AlligatorSQL notes

AlligatorSQL is an adminstration software for relational databases.
In version 1.14 six databases will be supported - Oracle8i,
MySQL, Interbase, Birdstep RDM Server, PostgreSQL and MSSQL server databases. 
It is not necessary to install all database vendor client software to run AlligatorSQL.
All needed components will be delivered by AlligatorSQL.

This software includes:
- DLL for Oracle client support
- DLL for MySQL client support
- DLL for Interbase client support
- DLL for Birdstep RDM client support
- DLL for PostgreSQL client support
- DLL for MSSQL server client support

2)  Introduction

This software will work on Windows95/98, Windows 3.X, 4.X, Windows ME
Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

This software will not work under MAC-OS, LINUX or UNIX and their derivates.

-- This software needs the servicepack 5 for Windows NT 4.0 installation.
-- This software will not work with old Oracle installation version 7.X
-- This software contains support for multiple languages - english and german
-- Microsoft's DirectX 6.1 runtime is not required for use with this software.  
-- This software needs at least 30 MB free space on your hard disk.
-- For our graphics statistics the software needs a standard AGP graphic card.

3)  Installation

This software set includes one setup program which installs the AlligatorSQL on 
your system.
  
The setup program may take a minute or more to evaluate the system registry prior 
to installing the software.

Installation Instructions:
1) Start your operation system.

2) You must download the zipped file and unzip it to a directory on your 
   systems hard disk. For example C:\TEMP is a common directory used
   to initially save installation files into. Use Winzip or WinRAR to unzip
   the file.

5) Close all programs, click the Start button. Click the Run menu item. 
   Click the Browse button.  Browse to the directory where you 
   unzipped the installation files.

7) Select SETUP.EXE and press OK.

8) Follow the onscreen instructions.

9) For evaluation mode use a serialnumber like '123' or something else.
   AlligatorSQL will check your serialnumber and if it is not a valid
   one it starts as a 30 days trial version.

4)  To Uninstall

Use Add/Remove Programs from your operation system Control Panel to 
uninstall the AlligatorSQL. Every installed component will be deleted.
