Introduction
------------

Advanced Windows Manager (AWM) is an easy-to-use tool to
manage and control all windows with hotkeys. With Advanced
Windows Manager you can maximize, resize, move, minimize
and even make various windows stay on top with hotkeys,
start your favorite programs with hot keys and instantly
hide various applications (games, Internet browsers, image
viewers...) with hotkeys when someone curious (boss,
teacher, parents...) unexpectedly came to see what you are
doing.

With AWM your are able to:

  - Move any window on your desktop.
  - Resize any window on your desktop.
  - Customize resizing and moving speed.
  - Maximize/restore any window on your desktop.
  - Minimize any window to taskbar.
  - Hide any window from desktop.
  - Show any of the previously hidden windows.
  - Start your favorite programs with hot keys.
  - Edit hot keys for the most of these actions.
  - ... and much more.

Requirements
------------

- Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 or
  Windows XP
- for Windows 95 or Windows NT 4.0: Common control library
  (comctl32.dll) version 4.70 or later
- about 500 kilobytes of free space on hard disk

Installation
------------

Important! If you've got AWM not from our web page, but from
the other source (magazine CD or some software library), please
visit our home page - you'll probably find the later version.

To install AWM, just run the "setup.exe" and follow the
instructions. You'll need to select the target directory
and the components to install.

Note: the Advanced Window Manager may not run correctly under
Windows 95 (prior to OEM Service Release 2) and Windows NT 4.0 if
the new version of common control library (comctl32.dll) is not
installed; the program requires version 4.70 or later. The
installation program of the Advanced Windows Manager checks what
version do you have, and it'll ask you to update this file if it
is old. If it will happen, get the updated version of this file
from Microsoft:
