Notice for Registered users of RPW 95/NT versions 2.3 and lower: You can install the shareware RPW95/NT version 3.0 if you wish, but it must be installed in a new folder. Do not install in the registered RPW32 folder, or you will lose the registered program. If you have already done so and lost the registered version, just run Setup from the registered diskette to restore the original files.

Shareware installation

1. Run the SETUP.EXE program.

3. Select the target directory. It should be where your shareware Recipe Processor is stored. The default is "Program Files/RPW32"
4. Click the Button with the picture of a computer to start the installation.
5. Choose a program group. The default is Recipe Processor 95NT .

If you are upgrading from shareware version 2.2 or lower, you will notice that the Quicking.rpw file is now replaced by the Quicking.ntr file. The Quicking.ntr file has additional columns for carbs, protein, fiber, and two user defined columns.

Shareware users upgrading from version 2.2 or lower: if you have made extensive modifications to your quicking.rpw file and wish to retain the changes, copy the Quicking.rpw file onto a floppy diskette, and mail it to me at the address in the about box. I will convert your Quicking.rpw to the new Quicking.ntr format. The fee for this service is fifteen dollars ($15.00). There is no charge for this service for registered users.

What happens if I make a MISTAKE during the UPGRADE?

There is really not much that can go wrong. You may have chosen the wrong target directory. You can just run Setup again. The setup program is smart, it will not over write your recipe database.

If you need to reinstall the Spelling Dictionary, perform the following:

1.	erase the Dict.dct file from the RPW32 directory.
2.	Run the Setup Program. It will reinstall the Dict.dct file.

Please note that the Dict.dct file must be erased or it will not be copied from the installation diskettes.

If you need to reinstall the Quick ingredient file (Quicking.ntr) perform the following:

1.	erase the Quicking.ntr file from the RPW32 directory.
2.	Run the Setup Program. It will reinstall the Quicking.ntr file.

Please note that the Quicking.ntr file must be erased or it will not be copied from the installation diskettes.

If you wish to reinstall the recipe database (and erase all additions/changes that you have made), do the following.

1.	erase all files with an extension of RPW. These are the database files.
2.	Run the Setup Program. It will detect the missing database and reinstall it.
