Introduction
------------
GrafEq is a flexible, precise, and robust program for producing graphs of
implicit relations. It is a good program for learning, and teaching, high
school mathematics.

GrafEq uses a more sophisticated algorithm to produce graphs than most
other graphing programs: rather than simply try to find points near the
graph and connect them with lines (which most programs do), GrafEq
generates mathematical proofs of whether or not the relation-to-graph
has solutions within each pixel in the graphing area. This algorithm is
what makes GrafEq flexible, precise, and robust.

GrafEq has both an English and a Dutch interface.

Installation
------------
This zip-file version of GrafEq does not require installation; if you would
like a version with an installation (and uninstallation) procedure, you
should download one from the GrafEq web site (see Contact Information below).

Contents
--------
The GrafEq software package consists of the following files:

 - README.TXT
 - README.WRI
 - GRAFEQ.EXE
 - REGISTER.EXE
 - REGISTER.HLP
 - *.GQS (example GrafEq files)
 - MANUAL.HTM (HTML manual title page)
 - TITLEP.HTM (HTML manual title page)
 - *.GIF, *.HTM (HTML manual files)

Use MANUAL.HTM if the manual files are kept in a directory named "MANUAL" one
level beneath MANUAL.HTM. If you extract the zip file with its directory
structure intact, the manual files are kept in this way and MANUAL.HTM should
be used. Use TITLEP.HTM if all of the files are in one directory.

Uninstallation / Removal
------------------------
To remove GrafEq from your system, delete all of the files that were extracted
from the .zip file (listed in the Contents section above). You should also
check for a file named "GRFQPREF.GPQ" in your Windows system directory; when
GrafEq is used, it generates and uses this file to keep track of user
preferences. This file should also be deleted if you are finished using GrafEq.

Evaluation License
------------------
GrafEq is shareware; as an unregistered user, you are legally allowed to use
this software for the sole purpose of evaluating whether the software is
useful to you. After your evaluation is complete, you must register the
software or remove the software from your system. GrafEq is fully-functional
and does not time-out after any amount of use.

Registration
------------
You may register the software by using the included REGISTER.EXE program
or by using the online registration system accessible from the GrafEq web
site. After you have registered, we will send you a registration code
which will remove the lack-of-registration reminders.

Redistribution
--------------
The GrafEq software package may be freely redistributed as long as it is
not modified in any way and that no registration codes are included. You
might prefer to redistribute the version with automatic installation and
uninstallation procedures (which is available from the GrafEq web site).

Usage / Requirements
--------------------
To use GrafEq, simply double-click on GRAFEQ.EXE. This version of GrafEq is
for Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4. Versions for Windows 3.1 (with
win32s) and for the Macintosh are available from the GrafEq web site.
