El Vaquero Alegre MediaMan(ager) v. 4.7 Readme
6-15-99

----Introduction
MediaMan is a Windows 32-bit console application. In simpler terms, you
need Windows 95 or equivalent to run it, but it runs in a nifty little
DOS-like window. Currently, MediaMan allows you to enter book or cd
names with the artist or musician, and then read them later. You can't
print, delete, or modify entries from MediaMan, but just open the
files MediaMan creates (bList.txt & mList.txt) in a text editor and
change things from there. With version 4.7 MediaMan can now make a
printer-friendlier output file, formatted just like the screen output.
Don't mess up the format though, otherwise you'll get screwy results
from within MediaMan. The source code is included so if you have a
compiler you can change MediaMan to catalog whatever you want.

----Installation
To install El Vaquero Alegre MediaMan, simply make a folder for it such
as c:\program files\mediman and extract the zip there. To uninstall,
delete the folder.

----Help
Help is availible by pressing H from anywhere but the name prompts. To
begin using MediaMan, press either B or M (can be upper or lowercase).
You'll then see a menu from which you can view your entries or add
more. you can switch from books to music or vis versa at any time. To
quit, press Q. If you find any bugs, fix them yourself, cuz it works
great for me :-)

----Licensing
El Vaquero Alegre MediaMan is freeware, simply because I can't imagine
anyone actually paying for this. If you feel like throwing away money,
email me so you can throw it at me. Do whatever you want with it, just
don't try to sell it. Nothing bad *should* happen because you use
MediaMan, I'll not be responsible for anything bad like a world war or
dolphins getting trapped in fish nets, or anything happening to you or
your computer because you use this program either.
