D&Do Version 1.0
A Java application that simplifies the use of command-line applications and scripts on a graphical desktop environment

You have just unzipped D&Do freeware version.
The tagged drops feature is not accessible in the freeware version, because of imposed limitations.
To unlock this feature (and other commercial features), you must purchase a commercial license ($7.50 USD or $10 CAD for version 1.0, for each computer).

REQUIREMENTS
Java JVM (or J2SDK) 1.4x
Windows 9x/Me/NT/2000/XP (Not yet available for Linux)

INSTALLATION
It is expected that you already have the Java JVM installed.
Just unzip the ddo1.zip file into a directory of your choice; a DDo sub-directory will be created and all files will be copied under it. Do not change this DDo sub-directory name.
To start D&Do, just double click the dragdo.jar file. See the documentation for other starting methods.

If you want to configure the MS Windows desktop so that D&Do is easier to use, execute the included setup.exe file.
This will install the start and desktop icons and this will associate the metascript files with D&Do, with some issues; see ISSUES 1. While using setup.exe, make sure that the SAME installation sub-directory "DDo" is selected again (you might get a warning the DDo directory exists, just ignore this warning)). You may then remove the setup.exe file.

REMOVING D&Do
If setup has been used, do the uninstallation first (use Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs).
Then you can delete the D&Do sub-directory.

ISSUES

1- File type association support.
  The D&Do installation does not provide a full support for associating a metascript to D&Do.
  This support is provided through a BAT file only.
  As a consequence, when you start D&Do from a metascript file, you will see a DOS box display;
    then later, the D&Do form will be displayed.
  Also, when you exit from D&Do, the related DOS box is still displayed.
  You can reduce the DOS box clutter by creating a "PIF" file. This is very easy:
   -Right-click the dragdo.bat file; a context menu will be displayed.
   -Select the "Properties" item from that menu; the "dragdo.bat Properties" dialog will be displayed.
   -Select the "Program" panel
   -Check the "Close on exit" checkbox
   -Select "Minimized" from "Run:"
   -Click the Apply button
   -Click the OK button
   That's all.
  The next time you start D&Do from a metascript file, the DOS box will be minimized;
    it will be disposed of, when D&Do is closed.
