On the HP 95LX The HP 95LX automatically sorts its Phone Book alphabetically in descending order (`Adams' appears at the top of the list and `Zapata' at the bottom). You cannot change this order.
On the HP 100/200LX
The 100/200LX gives you more flexibility. In Phone Book (or Database) Press (F7) (Sort) and you are presented with the following Sort dialog box:
SORT Dialog Box in PhoneBook: Graphic
This box lets you select three sort fields and choose whether you sort in ascending or descending order. For example, you're going to Los Angeles and you want to sort your list by phone number so all the entries with a 213 area code are grouped together. With the cursor in the 1st sort field, press (<DownArrow>) until Business (Phone) is highlighted. Press (<Tab>) and make sure the Ascending box is checked. Press (F10) (OK) and your list is now sorted by phone number. Entries with no business phone will appear at the top of the list, followed by those beginning with 0, 1, 2, etc.
