Future 95LX's to Link with Interactive Television

Hewlett-Packard has been licensed to manufacture and market TV Answer's home interactive television receiver. TV Answer will begin interactive service in New York City, possibly by the end of 1992. HP plans a hardware rollout to coincide with the service start dates, and will market the device through consumer electronics retailers for less than $700.

TV Answer chose HP because of its reputation for creating durable, service-free products. HP plans a family of interrelated TV Answer products which could include a printer, CD-ROM drive, and "a whole set of personal digital assistants and mobile devices." Future 95LX Palmtops may also be designed to work with these devices.
