6. Troubleshooting
------------------

Problem
=======
The Answer card in the Learn Activity turns white
after I click <Answer> and I can't read the numbers.

Solution
========
This is usually caused by a conflict with your
video card. Try to obtain an updated driver from
your video card manufacturer or try running in
a different color mode. (greater than 256)

Problem
=======
-:- The screen redraws slowly.
-:- The program seems slow.

Solution
========
Some things to try:

-:- Verify that you have the latest video drivers.
-:- Close other programs that may be running.
-:- Try a different color depth. For instance, if your
    video card supports more than 256 colors, try 65k
    color mode.
-:- Defragment your hard disk.
-:- Add more memory. For Win 3.11 (8Meg RAM);
    Win 95 (16Meg RAM) is recommended.

Problem
=======
The numbers(fonts) in the program are not displaying
correctly. (too big, too small???)

Solution
========
-:- The most common cause of this is a missing or custom font
    provided by the video card manufacturer. The most widely
    used font in the program is "Times New Roman". Check to
    see that this font is installed correctly on your computer.

-:- If it is a problem with a custom font, (usually the "large"
    font provided by the video card manufacturer) try using the
    "small" font for your video card display.
