This _ AutoRun Clients Documentation.txt file is a duplicate of the AutoRun.txt file.
If you want to change the masks or file box list captions, or default directory locations for the
file list boxes, edit this file and resave into the directory containing AutoRun.exe.
If you have renamed AutoRun.exe or have a second copy of AutoRun.exe renamed to a new name,
save this edited text file to the directory with the new named file, named the same with a .txt ending.
Like: AutoRun.exe could be DoctorBill.exe and then in that directory would be this edited file
named DoctorBill.txt. A new graphic named DoctorBill.bmp would also need to be there
giving this version running a different initial graphical display.

This software has no nag screens, no built in stupidity before licensing.
If you want to use this software in your office, try it out and make sure it works for you.
When you've decided it is a necessary part of your business, email me with your request for use.
Give me some idea what use it will be to you. It will make a big difference to me if you
are a large corporation or a small business when deciding your site license fee.
By knowing the business use, I will be able to tell you the price for using it.
Thank you for giving AutoRun Clients a try.

AutoRun Clients will help organize your client information.

When AutoRun.exe runs, it first checks to see what you have named itself.

If you kept the name AutoRun.exe then it looks for AutoRun.txt to read for default values.
If you have named AutoRun.exe something new, ie: DoctorBill.exe
then it looks for DoctorBill.txt for default values and Doctorbill.bmp for graphic.
This allows many different copies of AutoRun.exe to be running
separately or simultaneously looking into different directories for files, new file masks,
having different artwork and title bar captions.
By changing the running program name
and adding a like named text for configuration
and a like named bmp graphic for initial display
you can have many different office organization methods
with separate short cuts on the desktop.

When you single click on the files in each of the three file list boxes the file is loaded and displayed.
The first and third file list boxs can be any kind of file filtered by their default masks.
When a file name is single clicked, the file loads into the default editor for that type of file.
The second file list box is reserved for graphics like JPG and BMP files and when the file names
are clicked, they display below the title bar and above the file list boxes.
If you want to edit the graphic displayed,
click on the picture and it loads into your default graphical editor.

  on lines 8, 9, and 10 starting AutoRun.txt.

    AutoRun.exe - the program
AutoRun.inf - when used on a CD burn will autostart AutoRun.exe

I suggest naming your office files with the format:
LastName FirstName YYYYMMDDAMHHMM Topic1 Topic2 Topic3.ext
The files would then alphabetize on last name and then first name.
The date and time will keep each client in chronological order within their last name.
The time from AMHHMM could be optional depending whether appointment time is important.
Topic 1 could be the attending doctor's name.
Topic 2 could be the type of form used.
Topic 3 could be anything you want etc.
With standardized file naming conventions, masks could be created to show groups.
The file extension would be important for the file creation software and which mask is used.

When AutoRun.exe first runs, clicking on the first graphic (the loaded AutoRun.bmp) will also start
the Windows Explorer showing all the files in the AutoRun.exe directory. When a graphic from
the file list box in the center is clicked and displayed, clicking on that graphic
will load the graphic into your default graphical editor.

You can change each file list box mask separately. For example, you could change the first file list box
mask to your clients information like: LastName FirstName*.doc and see all documents for that client.
You could get all client documents during year 2002 with: LastName FirstName 2002*.doc.
You could get all clients in a certain year with: *2002*.doc
By creating before appointment preparation documents
with the time in the file name: LastName FirstName 20021105PM0400 Exam.doc
You can then put in a file mask in File List Box 1 like:
You could get all appointments for the day with: *20021105*.doc
You could get all PM appointment with: *20021105PM*.doc
You could get all 4 PM appointments with: *20021105PM04*.doc
You can return to the default file masks initiated at startup by clicking the mask button.

When you need to backup your office, put all the AutoRun files in the root of the CD.
 AutoRun.exe
 AutoRun.txt
 AutoRun.inf
 AutoRun.bmp

Client Data Files in their directories:
Keeping the same directory structure for the files as on the hard drive of origin.
If you have changed the AutoRun.exe name to perhaps DoctorBill.exe then the group would be:
DoctorBill.exe
DoctorBill.txt
DoctorBill.bmp
AutoRun.inf with a change in the text to point to DoctorBill.exe instead of AutoRun.exe:

     [autorun]
     open = DoctorBill.exe

Thanks again for trying AutoRun Clients. I hope you like it.
