     WinEject - (c) by Ingo Heeskens (06/01/97)
     --------

WinEject is a small program to open and close cd-rom drives and
to eject other removable media. It has multiple operation modes
and is completly configurable by command-line parameters.

Installation:
Unzip the file wineject.exe to a folder you like. If you're using
Windows 95 please choose a folder with no spaces in it's name,
e.g. not C:\Program Files\WinEject but C:\Prgorams\WinEject.
Otherwise, creating shortcut (see below) will not work properly.

There are different ways to get WinEject started:
 - open a DOS window, change to the directory that contains WinEject,
an start it by typing wineject and appending the correct parameters.
 - choose 'Run...' from the Start-Menu, browse to wineject.exe,
append the correct parameters, and press Ok.
 - create a shortcut to wineject.exe, edit the properties and append
the correct parameters to the target line. This is the fastest
way, if you want to run WinEject more than once. You can place
this shortcut in your startup-group to get WinEject started
automatically. If you have more than one drive, you can create
   a different shortcut for each.

Parameters:
x: This is the only required parameter. Replace x with the
letter of the drive you want to control.
-mci Use this switch if you are running Windows 95 and you
want to be able to close your cd-rom drive.
-auto If you append this parameter, WinEject will eject the
           specified drive at windows shutdown.
-noicon Giving this parameter prevents WinEject from installing
an icon in the tray. This is usefull if you only want to
           use the -auto feature.
-open Will open/eject the specified drive immediatly and exit.
-close Will close the specified drive immediatly and exit.
-noexit Prevents WinEject from exiting after -open or -close.

Examples:

 wineject.exe d: -mci -auto

WinEject installs an icon in the system tray. By clicking on
that icon you control your cd-rom drive d: under Windows 95.
At system shutdown, WinEject ejects that drive.

 wineject.exe d: -open

Open drive d: immediatly and exits.

Operation:

A double click on the icon in the system tray opens the specified
drive and a single click closes it.
