Tip of the Day offers you some special tips and hints on using Klick-N-View Business Cards. You can view these tips at any time by choosing Help|Tip of the Day on the menu bar.
You can get instant help on any window/dialog box by pressing the F1 key on your keyboard.
The toolbar and toolboxes provide quick access to most of the commands available in Klick-N-View Business Cards. Holding your mouse pointer over a toolbar or toolbox button will display a popup tip describing the tool.
You can change the size of the buttons in the toolbar and toolboxes by changing the selections under the View menu on the menu bar.
Context help is available by pressing Shift/F1 on your keyboard and then clicking on any button or menu bar item.
You can drag toolbar/toolboxes to a different location. Using your mouse, click and hold on the toolbar or toolbox and drag it to a new location. The toolboxes can be docked to either the left or right side. The main toolbar can be docked to either the top, bottom, left side or right side.
When moving the toolbar or the toolbox, you can prevent docking by holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard.
You can toggle the toolbar, toolboxes and status bar displays by checking and unchecking options under the View menu.
You can align objects to the edges of your business card using selections in the Alignment menu on the menu bar.
You can move objects 1 pixel at a time by using the Up/Down/Left/Right arrow keys on your keyboard.
You can straighten a crooked line by selecting the line and then choosing Object|Straighten Line on the menu bar.
The size and position of windows will be remembered and used the next time you start Klick-N-View Business Cards. Size and position is maintained for each screen resolution you use.
You can change the transparent color of a graphic image by selecting the graphic and then choosing Tools|Eyedropper from the menu bar.
You can toggle a grid display by choosing Options|Show Grid on the menu bar or by pressing the letter G on your keyboard.
You can undo changes by choosing Edit|Undo from the menu bar.
You can create your own templates for use in the Designer or Gallery template selection by saving your business card in the appropriate sub-directory on your hard drive.
You can change the color of your text to match another color used on your card by selecting the text and then choosing Tools|Eyedropper on the menu bar.
You can redo changes that were undone by choosing Edit|Redo on the menu bar.
You can change the person for displaying merge field information by choosing a name under the Person menu on the menu bar.
You can add people and fields to your merge field database by choosing File|Edit Database on the menu bar.
You can quickly test the alignment for your printer using a blank business card by choosing Options|Print Crop Marks and then printing the blank card. (Only crop marks will print.)
You can adjust the alignment of printed business cards by choosing File|Adjust Print Alignment.
Different print alignment settings are saved for horizontal and for vertical card printing.
You can free up memory by choosing Edit|Empty Clipboard on the menu bar.
You can free up space on your hard disk by choosing Edit|Empty Undo/Redo Buffers on the menu bar.
You can resize graphics quickly by making a selection from Object|Size to Fit menu on the menu bar.
You can save a bitmap image of your business card by choosing File|Create Snapshot on the menu bar.
You can display an imported graphic file as transparent by choosing Object|Graphics|Make Transparent on the menu bar.
You can create text effects, like arched text, using WordArt by choosing Edit|Insert New Object on the menu bar. Then choose Microsoft WordArt from the Object Type list.
You can change page measurements from inches to centimeters by choosing File|Page Layout on the menu bar.
You can design cards either horizontally or vertically by changing the page orientation on the Page Layout window. Choose File|Page Layout on the menu bar.
You can toggle shadows off and on by choosing Object|Shadow on the menu bar or by clicking the Shadow button in the toolbox.
You can toggle text capitalization by choosing Object|Caps on the menu bar or by clicking the Caps button in the toolbox.
You can change the shadow properties for all like objects at the same time. Choose Edit|Select|(object type) on the menu bar, then choose Object|Properties.
You can zoom the display of your card in and out by choosing View|Zoom|(Small,Medium,Large).
Using Page Layout, you can create mailing labels, post cards, etc. by changing the card size and the number of cards across and down the page. Choose File|Page Layout on the menu bar.
Locking objects in place only prevents moving and deleting of those objects. Text, fonts, shadows and other properties can still be changed.
You can change the page layout of your business cards by choosing File|Page Layout on the menu bar.
Using templates, you can change the personal information displayed/printed without having to change the business card. Choose File|Edit Database on the menu bar.
You can choose text to use as an input mask for adding new text by choosing Edit|Set As Text Mask from the menu bar.
You can toggle the display of borders around graphics objects by choosing Options|Show Object Border. These borders are for display only, they will not print on your card.
You can create outline text by choosing the Outline Text Style on the Text Properties window.
To center text more accurately on your card, you can choose to center the text in its text box and then center it on the page. Choose Alignment|Center Text on the menu bar, then choose Alignment|Center Horizontally.
You can select multiple objects on your card by clicking the left mouse button on an empty part of the card, then drag the mouse pointer while holding down the left button until the selection box encloses all objects you want to select.
You can print a single card at any location on a page by choosing File|First Page Setup on the menu bar.
You can change the font for all text objects at the same time. Choose Edit|Select|Text on the menu bar, then choose Object|Font.
You can quickly copy any object on a business card by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking the object with the left mouse button.
Using the Flip Vertical and Flip Horizontal for pictures you can create a mirror image.
You can create text with different outline and fill colors by choosing the Multiple Color Text Style on the Text Properties window.
Using templates, you can choose whether or not to print a descriptive label beside your merge field by checking/unchecking the Print Label checkbox on the Merge Field palette window.
You can align multiple text objects more accurately by setting the text alignment within the text boxes to the side that you want to align them to. For example, choose Alignment|Right Text on the menu bar for all text objects before choosing Alignment|Align Right Sides.
You can begin printing of business card pages at a selected location on the first page by choosing File|First Page Setup on the menu bar.
You can select all objects of the same type by choosing Edit|Select|(object type) on the menu bar.
Right-clicking an object on your business card will open a popup menu.
You can toggle the display of graphics/OLE objects by choosing Options|Hide Objects on the menu bar.
Imported graphics files can be rotated using selections from the Object|Rotation menu on the menu bar.
