About Repentence 4.1
====================

Repentence has absolutely nothing to do with
religion and is therefore not, as you may have
assumed, spelt incorrectly. Furthermore, the
name is completely irrelevant.

Repentence is a screen saver which produces
random sentences from phrases that you enter.
These phrases usually include the names of
your colleagues, "suggestive" actions, etc.

System requirements
===================

Minimum requirements are Windows 95/98,
Pentium processor, 8 Mb RAM, around
4Mb of free disk space.

Upgrading from Repentence 4.0
=============================

If you have a fully working copy of
Repentence 4.0 installed on your computer,
you may select the "Upgrade" install type.
This will preserve your existing database
and settings.

Installing Repentence on a network
==================================

Repentence may be installed with the
database on a network drive to enable users
to share data. To do this select the "Network"
setup type and when prompted enter the path in
which to store the database files, using a
shared network drive.

Program files should be stored on a local
drive for the best performance.

Subsequent users installing Repentence should
also use the "Network Installation" option and
select the path to the existing database.

Backing up and restoring data
=============================

It's recommended that you periodically backup
the database by clicking on the "Database"
button in the main configuration dialog and
clicking on "Export" to save the data to a
version 3 file.

In the event of the database being
lost/corrupted, make a copy of the file
"Blank Database.mdb" in the appropriate
directory and rename to "Repentence.mdb". You
may then restore data that has been previously
backed up (see previous paragraph) by clicking
on "Import" in the database dialog.
