Description:
The Shortcut Manager a powerful Tool for everyday users. It  provides a total control over shortcuts.
The Main Concept of the program is to generate and manage shortcuts for all selected  executable.
While there's other shortcut managers on the Web, this is the only one that I've seen that can
generate shortcuts for your entire drive from one single click.  This program also provides facility
to create new groups and delete all groups including all subgroups and files. The program also
provides a handy List print, which print your search result, this can be used as directory print. The
program provides Log report that can be viewed to know exactly What had been changed on your system.
This version does not contain Help, But registered version will.  The program Saves every screen
setting and all setting are accessible through preferences.  The program saves screen sizes and locations
as well as all Lists.  The program can also run the selected program to check it out before creating
shortcut. you can add, delete, select all, check some, check none from the file list as well as you
can delete from your Hard drive.

Install:
Copy Files to a directory of your choice
You will need VB6 runtime Lib.  This Free library can be obtained from Microsoft or other download  sites.
double click on SM.EXE and enjoy.

Usage:
Group List By default displays all groups in windows start menu
File list displays all files that meets your criteria. Your file list gets filled by choosing Tools
+ Search Path. Every file has a check box next to it.  By checking the check box
and clicking Tools + Create Shortcut, a shortcut is created under the highlighted group.

You can print Your displayed File List or you can print the saved list.
You can also save all your settings by choosing File + Preferences


Detailed Example:
	Searching For Files:
			  Select The Drive You want to search from the drive drop down
			  Select the File Extension "ex. *.Exe", Or type in Your own extension
			  		 Wild card search "*.*" is also supported
			  Double click on the Directory you want to search
			  On the Tool Menu choose search Path
			  The File list will be populated with any found file that match your criteria
			  In the file list, Check the files that you wanted to create the shortcut for
			  in the group list highlight the group\folder you wanted create the shortcut in
			  From the tools menu click on create shortcut
			  For reference your listed files can printed from File Menu (Print Loaded list)
			  The File list is saved and will be loaded automatically the next time you run the program
			  You can use the remove from list button to remove un-wanted items from the list then choose List menu and click on select all
			  
	Creating New Group/Folder
			 Select the Main Folder
			 		The 3 Default Main Folders are:
			 	 		DESKTOP
				 		START MENU
				 		STARTUP
			 In the Text Box above the group\folder list:
			 Follow the Main group\folder name by "\" (backslash) followed by new group\folder
			 Example:
			 		 if you wanted to create a folder named "Puzzles" under accessories
					 select Accessories from the group list
					 in the text box Type "\Puzzles", so the text box will now read "Accessories\Puzzles"
					 Select Group add Group
	
	Deleting a Group/Folder
			 This option delete the Group/Folder and all shortcuts within
			 Select the group you wanted to delete
			 choose delete group from the group menu
	
Menus:
	 File Menu
	 	  Load List
		  Save List
		  Print Save List
		  Print Loaded List
		  Preferences: This Display the Preferences Dialogue box
		  			Save File List on Exit
					Save Search Path on Exit
					Save File Spec on Exit
					Save Group List on Exit
					Clear File List First (No Append): 
						  if not checked can be used to populate
						  a list from different directories then process the create shortcut once at
						  end
					Log events: Will log all events in a date stamped file.  The latest file can be viewed
					using Tool menu and click on view log file

	List Menu: 
         	Remove from List: 	Remove items from the searched list.  This is also the same as the 
		 			button bellow the file list.  This does not delete from you hard drive, 
					it just remove item from list. To bring back items that was removed before, use search path
					from the tool menu again
						
         	Delete Checked: 	Delete the source file from you hard drive.  A confirmation box will pop up here
		 			this is a permanent removal from the Hard drive, be careful with this option
         	Select all: 		Check all items on the list
         	Select none:		un-check all items in the file list
         	Clear List: 		clear all files from List
         	Check Program: 		Run the selected exe file, only executable can be processed by this menu item

	Group Menu:
        	Add Group:		Type Group name in the group name text box. If you need to create a
                   			sub-group choose the main group first then append '\NewSubGroupName'                    
		Delete Group:  		Delete the selected group and all shortcuts within that group.
			   		a confirmation box pop-up here
		 
		Explore all Groups and shortcuts:
					This populate all lists with windows "START MENU" Folder,Windows shortcut.  This can be used
					To delete unwanted shortcuts from different groups
		Refresh Group List: 	Will re-read windows Start Menu Folder

		  View Log  File: 	View Today's Log. If prior date log is required. You can use the notepad and open
		  	   		the file named with date you wanted to open in the program directory.  
					The file naming convention is ""MMDDYYYYLOG.txt", this can corresponds to 01012000Log.txt
					For January 1st, 2000 File.

		About:			provide information about the author and registration details.
					you can also access this registration box by double click on
					register.exe in the program directory. 
		 					  		 

Empty text box:
	  This text box is provided for easy access to internal error code file.  Type 12345 in this
	  box and the program Shell to notpad revealing the program internal errors
