Mr. Hengstebeck,

I sent a message Monday, January 13 and I haven't received an
answer yet.

I am rewriting and sending it again. Please indicate the location
of the PC battery and what it looks like in my 1000SL C.P.U..
This may be why I am having problems with my external harddrive
and why it is not responding. Everything seems okey to me. The
disk is spinning, the arm will move, and the fan works. The
harddrive was custom made several years ago by a Tandy technician
locally. I could test it but I don't want to hook it to my
mini-tower computer and configure the system only to disconnect
it and reconfigure it back.

I read in the December 1996 issue on page eighty-two of PC Novice
magazine CMOS RAM failure may be due to the power source failing.
Please! get back to me when you can, before the weekend if
possible, lest I loose three more days.

Thanks.
