Read your long message about the Invisible EMS board, even printed it out and
re-read it several times.

One question -- does it work in an SX or doesn't it?

This is some real good stuff! Have you considered buying a cheap CGA card?
They can be had for $30 to $ 50.00 these days I think. Even if you could
borrow one from someone just to see. I forgot that I think I have a program
that tells where each device is loaded in the system. I don't guess this
would be of any use to you now as you've already uncovered it all.

If you do, I'll dig it out and post the listing of my stuff.

I spoke to you about adding the 128k of ram to my TX even though I have a

the extra ram is only used for video and my vga card has 256k built into it.
What would the benefit be in installing the chips? I am curious as to what they

If you don't mind, I'll jump in here as I am doing the same with my TX. With
the additnal memory, you can address it if you have a expanded memory board and
a program such as Qram from Quarterdeck. I have not tried it as the EMS board
has not yet arrived but I have been assured it will work. This will free up the
entire 640k for programs. Right now, using Manifest, I show memory, above the
640 barrier, that can be addressed. Most of this is from the additional memory
chips. I can not yet give you specifics until my board arrives (shortly I hope).
BTW, have you been following the thread between Greg and myself re the Paradise
Bug? I haven't sent you anything further as I am still waiting for more info.
Greg is right about calling Western Digital, not much information can be gained

whenever he gets a chance. I was told by a Radio Shack person that their
(Paradise) VGA card comes with a com. program that is basically the same as
changing the 3f to a 0b at 0040:008a. The program was written by Paradise so
they are aware of the problem but just decided to put in a quick fix for the

Mike,

A freind of mine brought over a fancy keyboard to see if it would make my
life a little easier. I only saw it a few minutes so the brand name escapes me.
It had bunches of keys and it worked great on my 1000-SX and as an external
keyboard for my 1400LT. It eliminated many of the two-key pushes, BUT... it had
a track-ball (spell?) to take the place of a mouse (3 keys on the left side and
a ball on the right to roll with your hand). It was ideal but it didn't work, my
friend said it didn't work on his office computers either and he was just trying
it on some other computers.
I would really be interested in such a product if it did work, do you know of
anything like this. When I'm stuck in bed I could still use mouse type
applications and the mouse drag would become a performable feat for me.

PS: the scanner and mouse work on the sx...it was the serial board &

Does the video adapter EVER use memory addresses A000-B7FF on a Tandy 1000sx?

The fact that the vid adapter takes 128k at boot, and then sets up a wall at

                           9C00-B7FF=112k

     Dismantling the keyboard
     From: JIMREED To: ALL

My <ENTER> key was sticking, and, just for the record . . .

. . . squirting tuner cleaner into the keyboard was not a great idea.
Took a bit to get rid of it. Not that big a mess, but did not help whatsoever.

I ended up taking the danged thing apart -- not without trepidation, having
dismantled a couple of keyboards before. I was not surprised at the umpteen
zillion springs and tiny plastic parts, but was surprised at how much hair and
lint and grit had manged to get between the mylar sheets and into the bottom
part of the keyboard, since it would seem to have to past through solid plastic
to get into some of the areas.

I continue to be amazed that all that stuff can be be held in place by the one
bottom plate, though it did have about 30 tiny screws in it to maintain exact
positioning. (The keyboard is on my Tandy 1000 TL)

Though I was extremely careful throughout, I was still relieved to find it still
working and no parts left over when I reassembled it. I found no direct cause
for the <enter> key sticking, so I guess it was just the general cleaning that
fixed the problem -- so far, at least. Knock on wood.

saved me the cost of a new keyboard that is the usual fix at a repair center.

swap out

Interplay and with TV Football by Cinemaware. As it turns out, turning off DIP
#1 on the motherboard did not help. However, after attempting to run Battlechess
on another IBM compatible, I discovered a specific loading command for use with
VGA systems. This solved the problem for running Battlechess. Unfortunately,
Interplay does not cover this loading command in their manual. Unfortunately, I
still could not get TV Football to run. I returned it and purchased Monday Night
Football by Data East. This program runs fine. I decided to leave DIP #1 in the
off position. Thanks again.

As I understand it, NO it will not help you it you have a VGA board installed.
The memory is there but can only be addressed by the Tandy video. With an EMS
board and program like Qram, you can address and use the addtional memory. If
you have no plans to get the EMS, then forget the 128k memory chips. They will
do nothing for you except empty your pockets of $$$$. By having the VGA
graphics board installed, that bypasses the Tandy Graphics. Save the bucks and
get some other toy.

I think Greg has gotten involved in a new fight with Western Digital, if I read
his comments on Delphi and Compuserve right. I understand his frustration in

Before you do anything drastic like replacing the motherboard, check into
replacing the PAL that is used as the output device to the printer. It can be

The additional 128K will help if you do not have a graphics board installed. If
you have a graphics board, the internal Tandy graphics *should* be disabled.
This means that the 128k is just floating around and not being used. With an
EMS board, you can get to the 128k and use it for something besides collecting
dust and filling empty slots. I am not sure if the Microframe ( I think thatthe
name) 5150 will work. It is only a 3.2 but has a 4.0 software driver. I am told
that the EMS board has to be 4.0. I have the board on order and will see what
will happen. I'll let you know. To the best of my knowledge, there is no other
manufacturer that makes an EMS board that will fit a Tandy.

If you don't plan on the EMS, don't buy the 128k chips. They are sitting in my
TX and I can not access them without more hardware. They definitely do not give
any more memory with the graphics board. I think I am starting to repeat
myself. It has been a long day.

and probably won't work with VGA because VGA is not expected on the TX. I
suggest you bring in your version of deskmate for the latest version.

If you have the latest version then make sure you install the propper video
driver that recognizes a VGA card.

My mother has a Model4 P and she has been writing a novel on it.

Is there a utility to read these disks in an IBM machine?

If not, we'll have to send 'em over RS232, a slow and dirty way.

  Harold,

You do not say what version of DeskMate . . .

. . . or Personal DeskMate you have, but if you have DeskMate 3.0
or DeskMate 3.03.01 (the newest), you can go to a Radio Shack and ask them to
give the you the VGA driver. You should not have to buy the entire program
  again.

But, if you have an earlier version of DeskMate, such as Personal DeskMate,
Personal DeskMate 2, DeskMate, DeskMate II, Professional DeskMate, then you
  may need to upgrade.

There are several ways to move data from TRSDOS to IBM PC formatted disks. The
best and most reliable software package is TRSCROSS available from MISOSYS,

I'm not sure I understand -- you want to run a small LAN with three work

for the IBM compatibles.

Why not try a small LAN system like LANTASTIC which has been advertised in
several of the magazines recently and run the thing under MS-DOS -- multitasking

get yourself some diagnostic, hard drive type software. Norton's Advanced

Gibson. SpinRite and Mace 1990 are what I would recommend at this time. I say
that because PcTools is coming out with a DiskFix program in their next release.
Mace can do wonders with messed up FATs and ROOT directories.

SpinRite will detect and lock out any bad sectors that the above mentioned

I just uploaded two Demo's of what I'm working on. You'll have to wait a day

uploaded them. Check them out and let me know what you think. You'll need to
have a Tandy 1000 (Possibly a PC JR) and a Tandy Deluxe Joystick as well as
a RGB Color Monitor to display the 16 Colors. I've not made them in any
other Video modes than TGA (Tandy's 16 Color CGA). I'll work on a CGA version
next and if I ever get a VGA machine I'll add EGA and VGA (Can't program for
it if you don't have it right?). If you have any ideas or suggestions for the
full game (Plotline stil missing), drop me some E-mail or a reply here.

RE: EMS 4.0 board (Re: Msg 16102)
     From: DABBER To: RFREY

Hi there,

I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you. I've been playing with different
settings ansd stuff, and didn't want to answer too soon.

It (the EMS board) seems to be working O.K. I have tried disk cacheing, but
haven't had much luck with it. I'm not sure if I have room to load it into high
memory or not, but it takes up too much room if I don't. I couldn't get Deskmate
to open with it loaded.

The only thing that really bothers me is the duplication of the memory from
384-640k (on m'board and backfilling). I haven't had too much chance to see if
it actually harms anything. I do know that it will mess up some games that you
boot up with- like Ghostbusters.

I have switched to using qram. The main reason is that I got this thing to use
it with Desqview, and DV seems to like the "shadow" or "high" RAM produced by
it's sibling product. XDV then loads much of itself into this memory space,
giving me a 550 something worth of initial convential memory. This is down a bit
since I recently took my buffers and files out of this high memory since I
thought that maybe this was the reason for some slowness of some programs
loading, but now I think that maybe it has only been noticable in Desqview
itself. If you use Procomm +, imagine being able to actually SEE the dialing
directory window expanding in semi slow motion. I have also had a slight problem
with dropped characters while capturing (log open) messages in the background.

One disadvantage of running code in EMS memory is the relative speed of the ram
used. 6.8 on the motherboard, vs. 1.8 on the board. Again, with DV (or XDV) and
a couple of apps running up there, things can tend to slow down a bit. It sure
is nice to switch around between them though and to come back to your work in
progress. I DO have to watch out that I don't use up all the conventional RAM
myself, or my 'puter will hang. I also have to run Loadhi and Manifest first if
I want to use XDV.

There is a user (on compuserve) who just put this board in a TX with no problem.
I think he has E or VGA, since he got his DOS RAM into the 700k range. (Both the
EMS and QRAM driver can allocate from 640k- the video ROM addresses back into
conventional-frontfill. When this area is needed for high res graphics you just
use a command such as NOVGA, and it is given back to the video adapter).

I haven't tried backfilling down past 384k yet, but I might sometime. I have
doubts that this will fly, however.

If I can answer any specific questions, I'll be more than happy to try.

DABBER P.S. The guy with the TX used
some of the software that he had from his Micro Mainframe and said that they
worked great. Unlike me, he knew how to modify the backplate that doesn't quite
match the 1000 series, and including config and autoexec dubbing and other
software installation, it only took him 2 hours. (vs. days for me!). He also
reported not being able to use E000-EFFF on his (like mine). I think this has to
do with the 286 chip being there and the board or driver expecting some ROM to
be at E400.

Whenever you change any hardware on that machine ( any AT 286 or 386 ), you
have to change the CMOS setup. In newer machines, you get to it by pressing
a key combination like CONTROL ALT ESC or something. With your machine,
you have to run the SETUP disk that came with it. You will see a list of all
of the stuff your machine has ( Type of floppy, Hard Drive Type, amount
of memory, Monitor type ect). When you add or change a floppy, say from 5 1/4
to a 3 1/2, you have to do it.

Ray,

The Address Book sends the string "ATDT 555-1212;" to the modem. The
semicolon at the end of the string tells the modem to return to command mode
after it has dialed the number. After some predetermined delay, the Address Book
sends an ATH string to the modem to tell it to hang up. You can do this either
with a fixed delay (wait 2 seconds, then send "ATH") but the best method is to
wait for the user to press a key.

For a number of months now I've been experiencing an occasional hung boot
condition. Specifically, my PC will first display the memory check

                      Memory Size = 640K

followed by the message:

                      BIOS ROM version 01.03.00
                      Compatibility Software

                      and Tandy Corporation
                      All rights reserved.

It's at this point that my PC will sometimes hang up. To reboot I have to
turn off the power for 10 seconds or so and turn it back on. The PC will
then proceed through the boot-up process seemingly with no problem except
for the following annoying condition: the date and/or time from my Tandy
SmartWatch chip is screwed up. More often than not, the date is screwed
up rather than the time. As to the date, it can emerge as Jan. 1, 1980 or
Jan. 1, 2080 with just about equal frequency.

This is annoying, but not fatal so the next time I open up the CPU I want to
check for possible loose connections. I just wish I knew where to begin
looking. Have any others out there experienced the same problem and, if so,
how was the problem corrected?

My PC setup is as follows:
     Tandy 1000TX running Tandy MS-DOS 3.20
To the basic 1000TX configuration I have added/installed the following:
     1) A Tandy SmartWatch chip, installed in accordance with its directions.
     2) A 30Mb Seagate 40ms HardCard (from which I boot).
     3) A 5-1/4" 360Kb floppy drive.
     4) A SmartOne 2400-baud internal modem.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The Zucker will use a slot which is a waste. The Ast SixPak Plus has 1 serial,
one parallel, the clock and room for 384K of memory (which I don't use as I
have an EMS board with 2 meg on it).

It is a short card, 10 inches or even less, and gives that slot much more
usefulness than a clock alone. I just purchased one last week for about
$110.00 I think for one of our customers. It comes with Spooler and Ramdisk
software and, has a game port which requires you spend more money for the
connector. The parallel port can be addressed as LPT1 or 2.

The serial port can be configured as COM1 or 2 and has jumpers for setting
DSR, DCD, and CTS to be forced true or set normal.

The UART is socketed and is an 8250 but can be replaced with a 16550 which
is a much better chip.

I do run setup. Therein lies the problem. If in my setup, I tell the computer
I have a 3.5 for drive A: lets say, when in actuality I have a 5.25, upon
rebooting, I get the "Invalid Setup information, press F1 to continue". At that
point, hitting the F1
key does nothing. Hitting anykey does nothing. I must reboot several times,
get this same message, and FINALLY the F1 key "takes" and I am allowed to boot.
At that point I MUST go into setup and correct all errors, or else the next time
I reboot, i wil l have this same problem.

You can't lie to setup. You're answering your own question. If you have a
5 1/4 as drive A and tell setup otherwise, then it's false info and setup
or should I say you CMOS detects this. You can put in different drives but
you must report them properly and be sure to save before leaving. If you
enter the correct info and still have problems, then I'd suspect the
battery.

Thanks for the welcome. It's pretty complicated but basically here's what I did.
I built onto it four XT expansion slots after pulling out the built in drive and
placing it in its own case. It's the only way I could add any standard XT half
size card. I just finished adding an external power supply for the four slots
'cause the EX's supply was really being taxed. The 286 Express card works great
except with some of my application programs the 8K cache seems to cause a
conflict. One of the main reasons I added the accelerator card was the ability
to add a math co-processor to my system. The Norton SI rating increased from a
1.4 to a 6.3. I heard rumor the the Zuckerboard company was coming out with an
external expasion chassis for the EX-HX system to allow you to do what I have
already done.

With most mouse drivers, you can either load them from CONFIG.SYS or
AUTOEXEC.BAT. The usual names for these drivers is MOUSE.SYS and MOUSE.COM.

The MOUSE.SYS "must" be loaded using the CONFIG.SYS boot file and uses the
syntax:

DEVICE=MOUSE.SYS /{com port assignment}

MOUSE.COM can be called from the AUTOEXEC.BAT by simply placing MOUSE on a
seperate line within the file.

Unlike tymnet Telnet needs to know what the baud rate of your modem is. Telnet
can't detect it like tymnet.

If you have a 1200 baud modem then when you connect to telnet hit <ENTER> D
<ENTER>. No spaces. For 300 Baud hit <ENTER> twice.

I am not sure about 2400 baud because I don't own a 2400 baud modem.

Try these settings and you should have no problems. Also set your paramiters to
8-N-1.

Bill,
The initial characters you send to Telenet to "wake" it up differs
depending on the baud rate used. For 300 and 1200 baud hit RETURN (or ENTER)
twice and you should get a response. For 2400 use @ to wake it up. Also, 2400
baud is usually on a different telephone number than 300 and 1200 baud. Check
that you have the right number for your area.

old Uninet nodes before Telenet disabled them. For the last few months, ENTER D
ENTER works fine for text but all file transfers fail miserably. I'd suggest
using ENTER . ENTER instead, which works on all nodes and allows full file
transfers.
For 2400 baud access, using either @ ENTER or @ D ENTER seems to work well
on all nodes. Personally, I use @ D ENTER at 2400 baud, 8-N-1. Of course,
whatever works - works.

I was not aware of the "D" parameter change, Greg. I can certainly relate to the
download problem, however - now I know!

The @D as opposed to just @ is curious. Using an auto-log Script, I cannot get
the @D to work, while the @ works fine at 2400,7,E,1.

Yesterday (and today) I was on a system with only a 1200 bps modem. Logged in
using the Enter D Enter, tried to download and got cut off. I will use the "."
more than "periodically" from now on.

Likely, you already know this, Mike, . . .

. . . but, for benefit of others, the @ symbol is issued after CONNECT at
2400 to indicate you want 7-bit access. If you are logging on at 8-bit, you
tell the system by sending @D. I have found that the @ and D seem to work
better if you space the @ a second or so before the D by use of commas, or
whatever, to insert a short pause in the autolog sequence.

The D1 that you send after the TERMINAL= tells system you are using VT100
  emulation.

Yes Jim - I am aware of the @ parameter and the D. My problem is that no matter
what I do when using a Script........I cannot logon at 2400 bps. The system
ignores anything I send after CONNECT, when using 8 bit. I tried using @~~~~D

Try adding &C1 &D2 to your string. This tells the modem to back off on DTR and

If you indeed have the Xmodem padding problem peculiar to the COCO III telecom
programs, I think the only way to cure it is the same procedure used on the
COCO, i.e. start removing bytes from the end of the file until it works. The
ARC programs are probably being treated as machine language files by the COCO
and are difficult to fix up to work. Suggest you look into an editor on the OS9
forum called DED to do this. Better yet, post a question there for a more
authoritative answer on fixing up the Xmodem padding problem. On the bright
side, you would not have to use this "cut & try" process more than 127 times at
the maximum!! <grin> If I could be so bold as to suggest an alternative.

I think that Deskmate on your machine has a workable Telecom program that has
Xmodem. It is a pain to use, but DOES work. Use it to get a good copy of a de-
Archiving program, if you don't have one, and a good MS-DOS Telecom program such
as Procomm Plus Test Drive to get you going with your 1000TL/2. There are other
Telecom programs, but that is the one I use and am familiar with.

BTW, you can buy PC+ from multiple sources in the Computer Shopper for much less
than the company, Datastorm, will sell it to you for. Once you get these use
them excusively for MS-DOS files, and you will NOT have any Xmodem probwith
padding characters. At least I have never had any for the last two yrs.

I have another guess,

If you look in your manual you will note a refference to the video jumper. I
suspect that the program being for the Tandy 1000 ( PCjr. clone) is using a
special video mode that the TL/2 doesn't.

The manual tells you to set the jumpers for this situation. They explain that
some older Tandy 1000 software and those designed for the PCjr. will lock up the
computer.

That is my guess. I had a similar problem with a communication software and I
just avoided it.

If the files have an .ARC extension - you would use PKX361's PKUNPAK to d'arc
them. However.... if they have an extension of .ZIP or .LZH, you need PKZ110
PKUNZIP to d'arc .ZIP and LH113C's LHARC to d'arc .LZH files.

If the extensions are .EXE or .COM they are usually files that aren't archived
and ready to run.

The Xmodem padding shouldn't affect the programs one way or the other.

Lois,

I'll try to relay some of the common items I have seen over on the
Datastorm forum on the other service. First, some internal modems have problems
using software flow control (XON-XOFF). Do an Alt-S, select Terminal Options,
then General, and finally check the values of items C and D on the resulting
menu. Software flow control (item C - I think) should be set to OFF. Hardware
flow control should be set to ON (item D). Save these and give it a try. A
second frequent item seem to be problems with the interupts, especially on the
Tandy products. My Procomm + worked right out of the box with the factory
defined interupts. I have my mouse on COMM 1 and the internal modem is set up
as COMM 2. I do have an extra I/O card with a second parallel port and two more
serial ports (COMM 3 & 4) that is NOT being used for anything right now. I do
not have an external hard drive, but do have an internal 20 Meg HD (hardcard).
In your case, I would recommend checking the interupts used for your hard drive,
mouse, and modem. You might have one of them conflicting with the modem. I
have heard some weird symptoms out of people who had interupt conflicts. (Make
that the EXTERNAL Hard Drive) I point these out as the most likely and the
external hard drive is the only major difference from my system. I would
recommend that you reserve an interupt for your modem and make sure nothing else
is using it. The other thing is to try both settings of Full Duplex or Half
Duplex. I use FDX without problems, but I have seen this recommended as a fix.
I am assuming that your joystick is the standard Tandy one that plugs into the
port in the front of the computer. These things should be a good starting point
for you. Holler with the results. BTW, I must say that I have really enjoyed
reading your notes here. Have a Good Day! has really brought a cheery note
into an otherwise absolutely dreary day. Thanks!!

graphics either on WordPerfect 5.0 or on a new graphics program I just bought

The latter one, according to its instructions should be compatible with the
TRP-100 in the IBM mode.
I use an XT clone made by Hyundai, the Super 16TE, and connect the printer
via the parallel port.
I've been using the printer with Word Perfect and other word processing
programs for text with Dip Switch #1 in the OFF position, the TANDY CODES
position. If I flip the dip switch to the ON position, for IBM CODES, and turn
on the printer, the Ready/Alert red light will not go on as it is supposed to
and the printer will simply not respond at all. The ready light does go on when
the printer is disconnected from the computer.
Dip Switch #7 is in the ON position for IBM CHARACTER CODES. Flipping it
OFF for TANDY CHARACTERS has no effect on the graphics, or rather lack of them.
So, I'm I doing something wrong? Can somebody help me with this problem?
Does somebody know why the printer freezes when flipping dip switch #1 ON?

It sounds like the printer cable is the problem. If you can, get a "standard"

the cable's internal wires are not a standard configuration.

     From: DRSPOON To: CHAPLAIN

David,

Sorry for you troubles. The theory of what I told you is still correct,
just the method of execution is now a bit more complex!! Hayes compatable
modems can "talk" with your computer and sends response messages to commands, as
you probably know. These messages are displayed on the screen. When it recieves
an "AT" command it will respond with "OK". So the problem you stated is to
figure out how to send the "AT" command to the modem and get the "OK" response.
Here is how I just did it. I worked through the Telecom Dialer menu and set up
a Log file called TEST.LOG. I created it using the F3 (Commands) menu, and it
contained 1 line that reads "SEND AT^M". At the commands pull down box select
SEND. At the resulting pop up box fill in the string box with "AT" and select
"add carraige return". This will give you the appropriate string. Then do a
Control-E to execute this file. You should get an "OK" on your screen if you
are talking to the modem. Some other things to check. At the set-up menu (F10)
make sure that Telecom is pointed to COMM 1 if you are using and external modem
through the built-in serial port.

If you are using an internal modem, I suggest you set it as Comm 2 and make sure
that Telecom is pointed to Comm2 in SET-UP. Hope this helps.

Recently I added a Harddrive to my system. I own a Tandy 1000 TL with two 3 and

added a seagate 40 MB hard-drive to my system.

When I received my hard-drive I promptly made a directly entitled "DESKMATE". I
then placed all my deskmate files in this directory. I call this directory with

vital element that is really bothering me. Whenever I try to move a box around
on the displayed main screen, or try to add one it works until I quit desk or
enter one of the options. When I return the updated screen is lost and is
replaced with the previous, un-updated screen.

If this description is unclear or if any has any suggestions please let me
(woops, please ignore my previous typing error.)

Waiting patiently,

Todd Thoms

P.S. In my path settings I also include the ROM directory where some of the
built in Deskmate files are (I think.) This drive is "E:".

Thanks.

Mike,

If you use @D ENTER to get on-line at 2400 baud you'll need to put a short
time delay in that string. My script for it looks like:

    PAUSE 1
    TRANSMIT "@"
    PAUSE 1
    TRANSMIT "D"
    PAUSE 1
    TRANSMIT "^M"

It seems that @ENTER, at least on some tests I've done, sticks you into 7-E-1
mode, which I'm not particularly fond of. I like everything working by default
at 8-N-1 just for sanity's sake.

Todd,

Add the line SET DMCONFIG=C:\DESKMATE to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file or into the
batch file that calls DeskMate. Without this, it stores the DMCSR.CFG and
DESKTOP.CFG files on the hard drive whereever it sees fit. When you fire up
DeskMate again it looks up the DMCONFIG environment variable to see where the
configuration files are found. If it doesn't find this, it looks whereever it
sees fit and then into the ROM. The problem is that it is likely finding those
files in the ROM first and using the defaults.

Hi Murrayt!
Welcome to Delphi and the Tandy Sig. You will find the people here very
knowledgeable and helpful. I too have a Tandy Tx 1000 that i bought about a
year and a half ago.
Learning about it and about navigating and using Delphi is an ongoing and
very interesting experience.
I learned early that no question is to stupid to ask.
Don't worry, they don't take off for typing errors here.

Have a Good Day!

Ok now, for the past couple of days (ever since I asked the Telenet question) I
have read many messages concerning the "proper" script file to log onto Delphi
using Telenet at 2400 baud n-8-0. Would someone please tell me the correct
script to use that is known to work. Thanks in advance

Jim:

I had the same problem with my 1000SL and my tl/2. What you need to do is
put your DOS disk ( or you disk that contains the patch.com file) in the A drive
and the Weaver disk ( the back up of course ) into the B drive, ( or any
combination of drives you may have). Then at the A propmt type the following
command: A:Patch B:WEAVER.EXE,37D,E4,C3 ( enter ) That's all you need to do.
The program will now run without locking up your keyboard. By the way, I got
this bit of info out of this FORUM file but it was sometime ago. Also, since it
is baseball season I've been playing this game quite abit I really enjoy it. If
you happen to use a mouse let me know if you seem to have any difficulty using
it. It seems I have to use very short strokes and it took some getting use to.
I hope this clears up your problem, let me know if it doesn't.
