(Includes MS-DOS CD-ROM Extensions Version 2.2)

This driver enables the user to use the CDR-1501 CD-ROM Drive with
an IBM PC, XT, AT, or compatible computer. Please note that the 
computer must have a TANDY BIOS ROM version 01.03.01 or later and
TANDY MS-DOS version 3.30.00 or later.

In order to obtain a printout of this README.TXT file, insert this
disk in Drive A, make sure your printer is switched on, is on line,
and at the C:\> prompt, type the following command--

   PRINT A:README.TXT

and press <Enter>.


Additional information on this CD-ROM device driver is included in the
README.DOC file on this disk. In order to obtain a printout of this
README.DOC file, insert this disk in Drive A, make sure your printer is
switched on, is online, and at the C:\> prompt, type the following
command--

   PRINT A:README.DOC

and press <Enter>.


INSTALLATION

1.  Follow the procedure described in the the chapter titled HARDWARE
    INSTALLATION in the Installation Guide in order to install the
    CD-ROM Drive.

2.  Start up your computer. Make sure that the C:\> prompt is displayed
    on the screen.

3.  Insert this disk in Drive A.

4.  Type

       A:

    and press <Enter>. The A:\> prompt should be displayed on the screen.

5.  Type

       install

    and press <Enter>.

6.  Respond according to the prompts. If you have a computer which is an 
    IBM PC/AT or compatible, type

       CHL AT subdirectory

    and press <Enter>. subdirectory in the above command is the name of a
    subdirectory where the device drivers are installed. If subdirectory is
    not included, the drivers are installed to the root directory.

    If you have a computer which is an IBM PC/XT or compatible, type

       CHL XT subdirectory

    and press <Enter>.

7.  When the installation is complete, remove this diskette from the 
    computer, and reboot the computer.
